About Kaleidoscopia

Kaleidoscopia is a 2D puzzle-platformer in which every color changes how the player moves through and interacts with the world.

Explore dark caves, frozen structures and layered environments while collecting color abilities. Burn obstacles, freeze water, float across dangerous areas, manipulate momentum and redirect light to solve environmental puzzles.

Progress is not based on defeating traditional enemies. The environment itself is the challenge: water, darkness, unstable platforms, hazards and interconnected mechanisms must be understood and transformed through the correct use of color.

Color Abilities

Red

Burn flammable obstacles and generate light in dark environments. Water extinguishes Red and returns the player to their natural state.

Blue

Freeze the surface of water and create temporary ice platforms. When submerged, Blue can launch upward from the water.

Green

Float along the water surface with reduced horizontal movement. Green can follow both horizontal and inclined water paths.

Purple

Preserve aerial momentum, fall more slowly and cross gaps through controlled drifting. Purple provides limited air control and rewards committed movement.

White

Reveal dark areas and interact with light-based mechanisms, receivers and puzzles.

Controls

• A / D: Move
• Space: Jump
• Color keys: Select unlocked colors
• Escape: Pause

Controls can be reviewed and modified from the Options menu.

Current Version

This version of Kaleidoscopia was developed as a college production project.

The available build contains the current implementation of the main color system, environmental interactions, progression, puzzles, menus, lighting and playable level content.

Because this is a student production, minor visual or gameplay issues may still be present. Feedback and bug reports are appreciated.

Download Instructions

1. Download the Windows ZIP file.
2. Extract the complete folder.
3. Run the Kaleidoscopia executable.
4. Keep all extracted files together in the same folder.

Windows may display a security warning for independently distributed applications. Confirm that you want to run the game after verifying the downloaded file.
